Battery Replacement?
My laptop is like 3 years old, and the battery is shot. It says 2 hours remain on the battery, but after 15 minutes it's at about 12% and the laptop just turns off.
Is there some sort of cheaper replacement option instead of buying a new battery? ($150....)
And since these batteries arn't supposed to be thrown away, I figured maybe Dell would be friendly to the environment and offer some sort of deal like this.

- I was in a similar situation a while ago. I got a refurbished battery from Dell for about $60. It took me a while to find where you could view their inventory, since Dell's site is set up pretty bad. It takes a while to find a link that doesn't send you back in circles. I don't know if they still do refurb batteries, but maybe you'll get lucky.
As for your old battery, try taking it to a local battery shop (Interstate Battery, etc.). For car batteries, any place that sells them has to take them back, it might be the same for lithium ion (My local Interstate Battery store would sell me a dell laptop battery for $300...)
