BIOS Boot up Screen Resolution issue for INSPIRON E1505

Just as my warranty expired, I saw that my BIOS Boot up screen which shows the DELL logo and then the Windows XP boot screen is at low resolution and comes to the middle of the screen. I went into the BIOS and made the screen resolution change to FULL Screen, however after a reboot this happens and the BIOS does not seem to be saving my setting.
 
I see that there is no issues with my RTC so my BIOS settings are intact and nothing else seems to have this issue. Pretty puzzling.
 
Any suggestions?

    Try changing something else along with the display settings and then saving them.  Sometimes things you change don't trigger the BIOS to save them but other things will.
     
    Something as simple as enable / disable of a device.  If that works, you can go back in and reset whatever you changed to the original setting.

    Ok tried out what you mentioned, it worked for 1 or 2 restarts and its back to old situation now. The small screen in the middle. So the issue is still not resolved.
