Bios update wiped settings
I updated my bios (per email informing me of updates) and it would not restart. I tried reflashing the update and back to original version and it didn't help. I land on a screen that says, "PXE-E61 Media Test Failure" "PXE-M0F Exiting PXE Rom, and "No Boot Found PXE-21". Disabling PXE-LAN in Bios eliminates the errors but still doesn't boot. So using the F12 command I'm able to select "Windows Boot Options" and it booted fine. I then modified the bios setting to disable legacy boot options (check USB, CD, etc.) to boot directly to Windows and the diagnostic partition as a back up. Its working but its only a work around. Appears the bios update wiped settings.
What happened?
What are the default bios settings from Dell?

Resolution: Dell Inspiron 5459/5559/5759 BIOS Update - Will not boot after update
If you update from 1.0.x to 1.1.5 (or 1.1.3) and find yourself scratching your head in a panic that your system won't boot up, reboot and press and hold the F2 key when you see the Dell logo. In the bios settings, restore setting to default, save, exit.
If you don't care about default Keyboard LED brightness or Fn Lock key default status, disregard the following:
After your system restarts into windows, restart and repeat to enter bios. There are some minor settings that change -- They are minor and don't affect performance. Under System Configuration, Keyboard brightness changes from dim to bright. Under Post Boot, Fn lock key changes to unlocked.
Have a nice day. Hopefully if you're reading this you were smart enough to figure that out on your own.
