Boot up problems

Hi, I have a problem with my Dell Inspiron 1440 laptop. I'm running Windows 7 on it (it is a 2010 laptop).

For maybe a month now I've been getting an error everytime I come out of hibernation that says "your computer can't come out of hibernation. Status: 0xc0000242   File: \hiberfil.sys "

I've tried to find out what that means and what to do about it but I haven't really found much so I've left it alone.

But today when I tried to boot up my computer that came up again but instead of then booting up normally (like it normally does), it went to a screen where I could either start my computer normally or launch something that would try to find out what was wrong (I probably should have written down exactly what it said, sorry). I tried both but the normal start up just ended up either stuck on the Dell logo (so I would have to shut it off since it didn't do anything) or else flashing to a blue screen for a split second before starting over again. And if I tried the one to figure out what was wrong it would be fine until it got to a different blue screen (this one is the normal start up blue screen, no error codes or anything.). My cursor would be on it too, but nothing would happen. I left it up for awhile to see if it was just taking awhile to load, but nothing ever changed.

I tried to boot it in safe mode but that didn't work either, so then I decided to run diagnostics. After several hours of that I got these error messages:

0F00: 1332 DISK - Block 25643051: Interrupt Request (IRQ) did not set in time.

0F00: 0632 DISK - Interrupt Request (IRQ) did not set in time.

0F00: 0232 (all of these have the same message as 0632)

0F00: 0432

0F00: 1232

0F00: 1A32

My guess is it has something to do with the hard drive but I don't actually know for sure. Do I need to replace it? Or is it something else?

I have no idea what any of this means and I would really appreciate some help. This computer is no longer under warranty but I've only had it for a little over a year (the problems started happening about a month after my warranty ended. Of course). I don't want to buy a new computer yet, but I'm getting sick of the problems this one is giving me.

Any help would be hugely appreciated. Sorry for the long post.

Yes, the hard drive is toast - it has developed bad sectors.
