Cannot find bootmgr

I bought a good used Dell Inspiron 1621 off ebay & went to install my working HD from my broken Dell Inspiron 1750. BIOS picks up the HD, but when Windows 7 starts when it reaches the windows icon it fades out and goes to Windows repair, which also does not work, it states there is no HD installed. The error code I get first is  0x80070002, what is going on? Ive got Windows 7 64 bit on the HD.

A different SATA Storage controller or SATA operation. Windows does not have the drivers to read the hard drive correctly in the new configuration. Even if it did work you would have a product activation issue because the OEM license cannot be transferred.

You could probably use the Dell Inspiron 1621 Recovery CD (if it is included in the package when you bought it) to restore the laptop to factory settings. You can contact and order it from Dell if it doesn't have the recovery CDs.
