Cant Set Desktop Background

Hi,

   When I try to set any image as background it dose not show. Only back background is set always,  but when i log off or start the laptop for few sec it is displayed then again the black screen come. what setting do i have to change to get it right.

    Is your user set as an administrator?

    Try this.  Find a picture in your "Pictures" folder in your documents folder.  It can be one of the sample ones that's fine.  Right-click on it and choose "Set as Desktop Background".  Sometimes the pictures you set in the desktop background control panel don't take.

    I tried that also but it still dose not works. The ting is that I can see the pic is there under start bar but it dose not get displayed on screen.
