D600 Wont Start

I have the Latitude D600 and whether I use battery power or AC power, my system will not boot.  I do not see anything on the screen.  Can anyone tell me what they think the issue may be?

Try an external monitor and Fn-F8.

Also, make sure it is not simply coming out of standby - sometimes a screen may remain blank in that situation.

Probably your system/mother board is bad... You can try removing the memory and any other peripherals attached to the system and booting.  If that does not work, its probably the board.
Hopefully your machine is still under warranty.

    Good luck

does it attempt to power on for a few seconds and immediately power off? maybe memory, cpu or motherboard.

...or is there just no activity at all? you have another battery handy? you have another battery handy? if a charged battery will allow the unit to power on then maybe your power input jack is busted.

Thanks for the reply.   Yes, once I hit the power button is almost immediately goes off.  I checked the RAM and re seated them.
I think it my be the motherboard unfortunately.  And it is not under warranty!
