Dell D630 advice needed please
Hello folks,
Just looking for some help / advice regarding my Dell D630
It's running on Windows 7, 32 bit operating system and has 2.5Ghz dual core processor
1. What is the maximum RAM my laptop can take?
I currently have 4GB RAM installed and have read that this is the most it can run but then other people are saying it can run up to 6GB, some saying up to 8GB so I'm unsure what is correct? My BIOS version is A17 .
2. Can I improve the graphic's on this laptop?
It has the NVIDIA Quadro NVS 135M graphics card installed which I'm led to believe is garbage?
I mainly use this laptop for either browsing or playing Football Manger, When I played FM2014 it ran flawlessly but when I'm trying to play FM2015 it's very laggy. When I checked the graphics rating on the game it's 1 star out of 5 and when I ran windows experience index it gives me a 4.0 rating out of 7.9 as it goes by the lowest rating this being graphics, Can this be effecting the lag??
Other ratings are:
Processor: 6.0 RAM: 6.0 Hard drive: 5.1 Gaming graphics: 4.9
Thank you for taking the time to read my post and thank you in advance for any help or advice you can give me.
Sean.

This system is pretty old (its a Late 2007 system) and the graphics are not upgradable...
8 GB of RAM is a possible upgrade but it is meaningless unless you upgrade to Windows 7 64 Bit, a SSD would be a better upgrade however as mentioned this system is old and the graphics will still be the limiting factor. Moreover it won't utilise the SSD at full speed.
Its time to look into newer hardware.

Thanks Natakuc
Yes I can upgrade to 64 bit no problem but as you say it's still limited.
Think it maybe time to look towards a newer laptop and out with the Dell D630 :emotion-6:
What would be your advice for a minimum spec when buying a new laptop to run football manger flawlessly i.e what do you think is essential requirements for this?
Thank you for your input
