Dell I 9200 Speedstep
I am trying to play Need For Speed Underground on my new inspiron 9200. I have the 1.6ghz machine with 768mb of RAM. The game works awesome when I am plugged into AC power. Its choppy when on the battery. How can I fix this? I have tried the SpeedSwitchXP program but that didn't seem to help. I have also tried many different windows power schemes with no solution. I can literally play the game, then unplug the power and it gets choppy, then when I plug it back in, it gets better.
Thanks,
Tim

What happens is, on battery, the video card underclocks itself to roughly half it's original speed. So, right click on desktop, go to propteries, tab over to settings, hit advanced, go the powerplay tab and disable powerplay.
