disappeared recovery partition
My laptop has some issues and I decide to recover it, and I realize my recovery partition is gone. So I contact DELL by online Chatting and by phone, both agents told me that the laptop should come with a recovery partition when I bought it. But why mine is gone? I sent this laptop back to Dell once for repair, and the guy in the phone told me that when they FIX the laptop, it's normal that they DELETE the recovery partition. I thought FIX means resolve the issue but not create problem, right? Will a doctor cut your healthy liver when you have an infection in arm?
That's fine. But since their action cause my problem, I ask for a recovery disc and he refused.
Be careful when you need to repair your NEW device, not only what you get is not the new component, but also you may lose something that you don't know.
I have more than 4 Dell laptops, all of them needed to be repair at least one time. I can tolerate the flaws of electronic device, but not the bad excuse and attitude.

This is what just happened.
A guy calling in during the dinner time. So I told him that, and call me back after 15 minutes to let me finish my dinner. He simply said that he will help me to solve the problem, and ask me to follow his instruction to operate my laptop. I told him that my laptop runs slowly and that will take a lot of time to do so, and he said no problem. We spend about half an hour to reboot my laptop and enter safe mode.
Just about to enter a website he told me, he suddenly said that this is a paid service, and it will cost me $80. So I told him that I never ask for any repair service, what I ask is either giving me back my recovery partition or give me a recovery disc. And he just simply said since I don't want to pay, he can't continue to help then hang up the phone.
Good Service DELL!
