Docking station?
When my fiance received her Dell Vostro 1700 from the organization that helps people who are disabled get jobs or assist with paying their tuition when going to school/college. They provided her with a 24' external monitor to plug the laptop into when she's at home. the problem is she doesn't like the setup we have now. The organization told her that she would get a docking station, printer, scanner etc. so far all that has shown up is the computer, monitor, and the speakers. I hopped onto the support site and looked at the parts/upgrades as well as the accessories pages and find nothing that indicates that a docking station exists for this laptop. Was she lied to? Am I not looking in the right place? Any help would be appreciated. She flatly refuses to use the monitor until we either get one or find out that a docking station doesn't exist. I know you can't speak for the printer and scanner but I know someone could at least tell me whether she was lied to about the docking station. Thanks in advance!

Looking at the product configuration page for that mode I see the following available:
It appears that there isn't a "Dell Docking station" available. The above devices are more commonly referred to as Port Replicators. You will plug in your devices to the port replicator then the port replicator connects to your PC via a single USB connection. Saving you from having to connect each device to the laptop.
The only product of the ones listed above which support connection with a monitor is the SD200, so that is the one she would need for what you are trying to do.
