oh yea, all my colors on everything looks fine except i get these wierd redish colored light blobs on my internet explorer grey bar they move with the bar when i move it around, is this a screen problem or does IE need reinstalled? i dont see any problems with anything else, it seems to be not as noticible on 32bit color instead of 16

Standard Windows XP or 2000 is all you need.

In Display Properties - Settings tab - Advanced button. There should be a tab labeled something like "Displays." What you want is a setting that allows you to extend your desktop over both your LCD and your external monitor. Then, you can drag the windows onto whatever displays you like.
