I would first download and install the driver again. Sometimes they become corrupted. The link below takes you to the Dell site for your touchpad driver. Hope this helps.
- Thanks for the reply Boyd, the driver I get when I search is a different version, 8.2.4.6. The one you point to is 8.2.4.3. The one in device manager matches the version I found earlier, now Im getting confused :smileywink:
I did update the 8.2.4.6 version with no luck, might give your one a go, but not too sure if its the right one. Let you know how it goes,Techdunce:smileyhappy: I just did a search for your 1300 and it gave me the older version, hince the link to it. I have an E1505 and use the later version, 8.2.4.6 and it works on my system perfectly. I would suggest you download the driver again, and reinstall the newly downloaded 8.2.4.6 and see if that works. I don't use the touchpad per say, I use a USB wireless mouse, but I have used the touchpad without problems and it works with the USB wireless as well. The link below is for the 8.2.4.6 driver. It could also be a hardware problem but I really think it is a driver problem.
- Hello again Boyd, already tried the newer version with not much change. Problem is, its erratic, works fine and then stops, and after a while its ok again.I suspect it is hardware but came on here hoping someone might have a magic fix.Im still under hardware warranty so might call it in tomorrow, thanks again,Techdunce:smileyhappy:
- Hello ah1f, sorry for the delay in replying, and yes I have increased sensitivity, at the moment the tap zones work but the edge motion doesnt. Earlier it was the other way round, with no changes made to give a hint why this behaviour is happening. Everything is configured as it should be, but...well you know the rest.Techdunce:smileyhappy:
