GF 7900 wrong display mode after returning from sleep mode.

After returning from sleep mode my Inspiron 9400/E1705 VISTA with Geforce 7900 returns to a lower and useless mode 1024 x 768. I have to manually change the mode back to 1440x900 in control panel.

I have downloaded the latest Dell GF 9400 Vista drivers from http://ftp.us.dell.com/video/R142930.EXE

Is this really Vista drivers? I didn`t help and the problem remains.

I have a xps 1710 with 7900 GS and I have exactly the same problem when returning from sleep mode. Is this a problem with drivers??

It might be a problem with the drivers. My Inspiron is now stable and returns to the right displaymode after sleep mode after upgrading software in this order:
    1. Notebook system software
    2. Chipset (even if the chipset version is older than my notebook)
    3. Video drivers (and using this: ftp://ftp1.us.dell.com/video/R159616.EXE )
    4. Quicksett

I really thinks that uppgrading the videodriver did the thing. The videodrivers are the performace drivers available from Dell drivers and software download page. All uppdates can be downloaded from Dell support page using your computers service tag when searching for downloads.

I first updated using the official Dell videodrivers(R142930.EXE), but it did not help.

I also first upgradet Bios to A09. But it didn`t help whith this problem but I find the laptop faster after biosupdate.
