Hi, my Inspiron is 4 months old, it has suddenly stopped booting properly.

When turned on:
- the power light comes on and stays on
- the fan starts up then stops
- the DVD drive light comes on then goes off (the drive can be opened)
- the screen stays black

I know the screen works because the dell boot screen has appeared about twice out of 50 times since the problem started occuring.

I have reseated the memory to no avail.

Any comments would be great!
