Inspiron 6000

Machine freezes ater 1 minute of not in use. also get a frequent message of an unreconized usb hardware, when none is connected. Will not recognize mouse when it is connected. Killed screen saver so that is not the problem. Please help.

    It sounds like you have (at least) a problem with the chipset drivers. I would try downloading the latest from Dell and installing them. If that does not fix the USB problems, I would try deleting the USB devices in the device manager and letting them be redetected.
