I have inspiron 6400 about 20 months old. It was working fine suddenly this morning I saw a white thin horizontal line in the middle of LCD display screen . I rebooted the system it did nt go away. Some body told me that my screen is going out of order soon and i need to buy new screen.

Can any body from this group can help me in suggesting a remdy for this,incase i need to buy a new screen (15.4) then how much does it cost and can i buy it from dell i searched the dell website but did not find any.  Since I am a international student here in cranfield university near milton keynes (MK43 0SX)  so i dont know repair shop iaround f some body can guide me this matter i would be thankful
