I have an older Dimension E521 I wish to donate to the local youth club.

I was trying to re-install the Xp files but have an error,##When I try to reboot from the bios the keyboard does not allow F2 or F12 to work.

When I ran the E521 diagnostics I get stuck when it asks me to input 1 or Q

The keyboard does not work. it has the padlock symbol with a number 9 in the middle is this significant.

I would appreciate any help you can give
