Latitude D600 power failure
I was working on my latitude and then it shut off in on the middle of a defrag, while in safe mode. Since that time I can not power it on. I have tried with the battery out and just the AC adapter, and also just the battery alone. Is there a fuse inside that may need to be replaced? Also, when I attach the laptop to the port replicator, and attempt to power it on, the "power on" light on the port replicator turns on for about 3 seconds and turns off, the laptop does not respond.

Thank you for using Dell's Community Forum.
First, take your system off the docking station if you have one. Then take out all peripherals like printers, scanners, mice, keyboards, pc cards, and any other 3rd party devices you have added. Also, take out the battery and disconnect the ac adaptor and wait for 2min. then add only the ac adaptor back on, and try to boot.
If that does not help, try reseating the RAM.
If that does not help, the problem is most likely your process or motherboard.
