Latitude D620 Battery Bay?
Hello! This is a question that has been bugging me since I first switched out the batteries on my D620. In the battery bay, under where the thin part of the battery goes when it is in place, there is an interesting-looking black plastic thing with metal contacts sticking out of it. I have found nowhere explaining its purpose or even commenting on its presence. Does anyone here know? Thanks!

OK. Inside the bay there are two different labels; I assume the one that says 4 ohms blah blah is not the right one. The other has Rev A02 on it, and some long code (and a barcode). Does this help?I love dell

FYI- That spot is for a cell phone SIM card so that you can use the optional mobile broadband card with your own cell carrier.thefirstdude02
