Remove and thoroughly clean the heatsinks and replace the thermal material that makes contact between the heatsink and GPU/CPU.

    Hi NARE456,

Are there any bluescreens / system crashes? Does the system turn off / freeze when it is hot?

As advised by ejn63, download the service manual - http://dell.to/1UyqHGi- and clean the airvents and fan with a can of compressed air or a small vacuum cleaner.

Also, update the BIOS and reinstall the video drivers on the system - http://dell.to/1rtW6Ri

    Hi NARE456,

As long as the adapter and battery are working fine, the BIOS update should go fine. In the worst case scenario, if the motherboard has an issue, then the BIOS would not update and it might crash - leading to a no power / no post scenario. However, this happens rarely.

Updating the BIOS is the first step suggested for such issues. BIOS update tends to resolve even the weirdest of issues.

If you are not keen on updating the BIOS, you could try cleaning the airvents and fan assembly as advised previously.

Write me a private conversation with the service tag and your contact details(Name and Email) for case records.
