PLEASE HELP!

My 2 week old top of the line Dell XPS M1330 is driving me crazy!!!  I already had to do a full factory restore this past weekend and now every time I reboot, I get placed in a Windows Boot Manager screen and I get a long series of loud high pitched beeps, then it finally boots into Vista.  I now see why the Mac commericials are ripping into Vista so much!!

I spent over 4 hours this past weekend with Dell Support and 3 hours last night, and the Tech Guy said he doesn't really know what is causing the issue and how to fix it.  I noticed the problem began yesterday with the Windows Boot Manager and the beeps after I open my lid up after setting it to sleep when leaving work.  I am sooooo frustrated with this laptop, and I really wanted to go with the m1330 over the Macbook Air due to the size and features, but now I'll take reliability and ease of use over this frustration I have to deal with every day.  Will Dell help me with this lemon they sent me or should I return it... sorry for being so negative, but even my family keeps wondering why I am going through all this.

Does anyone else have this Windows Boot Manager issue with beeps and how do I fix it, especially when Dell's only solution is to do a factory restore.  My wife's Apple Macbook Pro has never had these kind of issues and it's a year old now.

    Two things to try.....

Have you tried re-installing the Vista bootloader by booting from the Vista setup disk?

Have you updated Windows through windows update?

From your reply to my question about the right speaker problem I was having, it sounds like your laptop was delivered damaged (bulge over the right speaker). You could be experiencing problems as a result this damage. If you can't get a suitable fix from this thread I recommend you call the Customer Services Queries number and explain the laptop was delivered damaged and you'd like a replacement.

If you can't get Dell to replace it, then something that may help is wiping the hard drive and completely starting the computer up from scratch again.

:D We all hate the problems. :D

Regarding Hibernation issues, I've always resolved them in the past by updating Windows through Windows update. Have you tried this?

Thanks for all your repsonses.  So, everything seems to be working correctly at the moment... bluetooth is fine and no Windows Boot Manager screen when restarting.  (So no one else has ever had the Windows Boot Manager screen come up with the beeps???  I guess I must have a lemon)  The Dell Rep told me he thinks he knows the problem which has something to do with Sleep/Hibernation.  He said there is a known issue with almost every computer laptop out there using Vista and the Sleep/Hibernation feature which effects bluetooth and other issues.  He set my power profile to never sleep or hibernate (will Dell ever get this fixed to work with Vista correctlly - the manual that came with my Dell states that sleep is supposed to work correctly).  So far, everything seems good, so I set a restore point just in case.  I am also backing everything up online and I am going to create a Norton Ghost Backup again in case I run into this problem again.

At this point, a factory restore is not going to work because I sure as heck not going to install all those games and programs again!!!  Norton ghost is okay as a restore solution, but if that doesn't work, I am returning the Dell and going to get another laptop.  Just in case, are there any other laptops that have a small screen, but with the same power and functionaility of the Dell XPS m1330?  I really lover the way the Dell looks, but I just hate dealing with the problems.
