Problem with Wireless Internet Connection
Hello,
I am using a Inspiron 6400 with Windows XP/SP3 installed. I have been getting good signal strength and speed with my wireless internet connection until I accidentially enable my hibernate option. Two nights ago, my 6400 went to hibernate and ever since then my wireless signal strength and speed has become very poor (from 54 mbps down to 11mbps). I am using a Linksys router and expander to get my reception. It seems that for being in the hibernate mode, I have lost the wireless connection strength somehow. Could someone please let me know if that's the case and how could I get my strength and speed back for my wireless connection?
Any comments/suggestions are much appreciated. Thank you.

Yes, I did many times. I have also unplugged the router/expander/modem several times and didn't make any difference. I am pretty sure it's the probem with the hibernation as everything works fine before that.
Thank you for your response.

Thank you, Davet50, I'll do a system restore if that's my last resort. I removed my network name from the available network list and then add it back on manually. Now I've been receiving pretty good speed/signal strength. Thank you for your suggestion though.

Have you tried a full shut down and cold boot up? Sometime things get messed up in the Hibersys file and will stay that way untill a full cold reboot
