problems with audio after changing from vista - xp

I have a M1330 and have performed an OS downgrade as some specific work softeare is still too "buggy" when using vista.
 
Have got everything sorted except the audio and bluetooth
 
I can't find any drivers anywhere for the sigmatel audio, anyone managed to find any?
 
Bluetooth - I read all the issues people have posted but none of them are quite the same.
 
I can view the hardware (listed as BCM204) but again can't find any drivers that work with XP. More research tells me its the dell 355 bluetooth but I can only find vista drivers. Anyone got any ideas

    Dell must finally be adding some XP audio drivers for their newest computers. Just today they released one for the Inspiron 1520 model, so if you wait long enough they might get one out for your model.

    In the meantime you might try the R158235 (v.5.10.0.5511) Sigmatel XP driver. I don't know if it will work. My thinking is this: the R158235 works on the Precision M6300; the Precision M6300 Vista driver is the same as the XPS M1330's Vista driver; ergo, the Precision M6300 XP driver might work on the XPS M1330. If not, use 'rollback driver'.

    Remember that the Sigmatel drivers won't install properly unless the Intel Mobile Chipset driver has been installed first.

    Between you and the various posts I read last night I've now got everything sort.
     
    Only thing that I've now got to fix is that for some reason when I boot the computer it thinks I have two versions of XP installed and it asks me which one to boot, the 1st (currently using) boots fine. The 2nd comes up with an error stating it can not find xp and then gives me the choice again. Is there a way of removing the 2nd  one, otherwise I have to wait 20 seconds or hit enter everytime I reboot.

    Sigmatel should show up in the "Add/remove programs" in the Control panel. Maybe check to see if it is listed twice.

    It sounds like the XP install put two boot paths in the Boot.ini file. In order to get the system to boot into XP without having to choose the OS you would need to alter the boot file and delete the bad path. After doing that and saving the file you should be able to boot straight into XP. Be very careful though, incorrectly altering the boot.ini file can lead boot failures so make sure you delete the right path otherwise you may be looking at another OS reinstall.

    Jimco - No need to apologise, I have to admit I was slightly confused but really good of you to offer your assistance.
     
    Laptop working a treat now. Only thing left to do is see if I can make use of the sim card slot under the battery with an orange sim card. Anyone in the UK managed to get this to work? What do I need?
