Resolution
Which resolution settings are best for quality and performance? The lower settings, or a higher setting?

roadrunner570:
The XGA LCD of your Inspiron 4000 system will support a maximum resolution of 1024x768. This resolution also is considered optimal (anything less than this resolution will be slightly blurry due to interpolation).

I just bought a Dell Inspiron 1000. Currently, the maximum resolution is 1024x768. Is there any way to get a higher resolution? New drivers? 3rd-party software? This resolution is not adequate and I might return the laptop just because of it.
Thanks,
Kent D.
