hi,
after i upgrade my laptop to window xp sp 2, my sound is gone!!!!!!!!!!!!
what happen???? do i need to install it??? where i can dwnload the installer ???????. please help me

That driver was released a couple of years before SP2. I wonder if it is incompatible.

I don't know the solution to this. You wrote that you upgraded to XP SP1. What were you using when the audio worked, XP SP1?

The only thing I can think of is to go into Device Mamager and uninstall the driver, restart and see if Windows will install it.

Latitude C600 driver downloads page
Click the above link then use the 'operating system' dropdown box to choose your OS, but Dell does not provide an option for XP for the C600.
Expand the 'Audio' category to find your ESS Maestro M3XUA14I driver. It is an XP driver and should be the one you need.
