USB Flash Memory Drivers Needed
Ordered/received a 64MB USB Flash Memory Device with my new Dell Latitude - works great - until I try to plug it into another machine running W98 because I need to transfer files (my Latitude doesn't have a floppy). The W98 machines wants the drivers - which are not on the W98 CD. I call Dell Support - they cannot really help me because the Latitude came with XP Pro - NOT W98 installed. WOW - what great support! Talked with two people, the most I got was "they're on the Download section of the site" - well, no they're not (or else they're so well hidden Dell doesn't really want you to find them). If anyone knows where I can obtain W98 drivers for these USB flash memory devices I would greatly appreciate it - because it's obvious Delll doesn't really care too much.
My e-mail address is dennish@jpdonmoyer.com
THANKS!!!

Dhouser,
Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
Try locating DOS drivers from the USB Flash card manufacturer. You may want to leave the card inserted and then go to the System Profiler under the Configuration link on the left. Allow the site to profile the hardware on your system. Look for the entry that pertains to the memory card. You should then look for non-Dell tested drivers on this manufacturer's web site.
I just received a 64 Meg USB Flash Memory Key for X-mas. It worked on my new Dell with XP but not on our Compaq with Windows 98SE. Took hours of searching around but finally found the driver(s) I need and it actually works!!! Here is the link for the new driver(s):

The tip off was the M-Systems designation on the Memory Key box. These guys must be the new Dell memory key suppliers!
