- You can view them just fine on any computer, these opened on my ABS Shuttle.
Tomintx thanks...just what I had been trying to find...Cheers.
Now to the next problem...
When I bought the laptop I was told that the previous owner couldnt get it to start up after fitting the wrong type of memory in error. When I first tried to boot it I got Power light + HD light + Num lock light all flashing for about 8 secs then it turned off. Followed advice in other posts and eventually got to the point that I now have it striped to the mother board and when I hit the on button I get Power light + HD light constant but now also Num lock + Caps lock + Scroll lock all light up constand for 5 secs or so then turns off. At no point did I get any fan or other noises or beeps...I have seen a comment here which stated that a C610 wouldnt post without memory installed, could it be I have a bad memory card ?......Any suggestions
CheersSteve.- on re reading your message, I see now you were referring to the C610, not D610. Both memory modules for the C are under the access door on the bottom, and I believe you must have at least one in the first slot, remove memory from the second one, or swap it with the module in the first one. Check out Crucial.com for memory. You may want to temper spending much on the C610's, check out dellauction.com for a replacement, or consider upgrading to the D610 on Dell's Direct refurbed units. Sorry for any confusion.

Hi,
The memory is 133meg. Make sure it is pushed into the socket correctly. I have seen many users that dont push it in. It doesnt matter which socket you put it in. Have you tried an external screen ? Without memory fitted, there will be no post, no messages then a power down.
Regards Chris

Hi,
If you go to the notebook tab above, you can find user and service manual. The Forum is so you can describe the fault to get ideas on what is wrong. What are the faults ?
