Using Belkin Router

I am unable to access a Belkin router that is in the home of where I am currently staying.  There are two other laptops connected to this router and they are working just fine.  I am able to access the router next door that is an unsecured Linksys, but the Belkin right in this home is not working for me.  When I check the Networks available I can see the Belkin router and the signal is 100% but when I click on it I get the message "unable to connect to the internet....".  I have been on the phone with Belkin and we went through all the passwords, security, etc. and nothing has helped.  The tech support person from Belkin was even out of suggestions.  She said to download Microsoft Fix It, but I think she was out of answers and wanted me off the phone.

If anyone has a suggestion to try something we have not already tried please let me know.  T

Thank you for anything you can suggest.

If this is just a temporary setup, use an ethernet cable to connect the computer to the router directly. You will be able to access the Internet. It sounds like the security settings on the router or a firewall prevent any unknown computers from connecting. Connecting directly bypasses all passwords and other security settings. If you are going to have to use the wireless long term, have the owner access the home page of the router and recheck the security setting that is blocking your computer. If the owner is using Windows 7 or even Win Vista, the security settings in Network and Sharing Center or the owner's firewall could be blocking your wireless access. You should post in the Networking forum if you need more help with this. Mention the operating systems that you and your host are using.
