Vostro 3550 Issues - Trackpad

Hello everyone,

 

I recently purchased a Vostro 3550 and have been having a ton of problems with its trackpad. Sometimes its all over the place, selects random text as I am moving it around and just FREEZES up at times!

 

Has any other owner of this notebook experienced these defects? Any available solution? I tried Technical Support (chat) but it seems its not even available for this model. Please help.

    I suddenly started having a problem with my audio as well.  The volume starts to go up and down without me touching the volume controls. Any advise?

    me too...same problem here...it generally happens when the AC power is connected...the touchpad is very unpleasing, it behaves like I am touching it at more than one place but I am actually not...

    Friend did you find a solution ???

    Dell community please help!!!

    Have you installed the latest Alps (TouchPad) - Driver (Version A04)? I also had severe problems before this update, but now the trackpad is more or less okay.

    Hi, its been 2 months since i bought the DELL Vostro 3550, even  i am facing the touchpad problem when the laptop is connected to AC power. I have the latest Alps driver installed. Please advise
