Where is the CMOS Battery?

Ok, I have the Inspiron stripped down nearly to its bones and can't see it anywhere. I am used to working on Compaqs with nice obvious shiny things with a couple of leads out of it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Bull_Frog,

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

Check the Service Manual for your system.  You should be able to find it on Support.Dell.com.  It should include instructions for removing the CMOS battery.  If you will post with what system you have I will try to find it for you.

    Bull_Frog,

Removing and Replacing Parts: Dell™ Inspiron™ 5000 Series

A quick glance at this did not show the CMOS battery, but this is the instructions for disassembling the system to replace parts.

Did anyone ever successfully locate the Inspiron 5000's CMOS battery?

I'm asking for someone I know online who has one.  Thanks!
