wireless problem continued
in an earlier post, which has been lost in the masses, i was given the advice to go into the BIOS and make sure the MiniPCI card slot is enabled in the BIOS. If it is, check under the MiniPCI slot door to see if perhaps the MiniPCI card has worked itself loose. i went into the BIOS, but did not see anything that specifically said "MiniPCI card slot".Here is what i noticed, tho:
In the PhoenixBIOS Setup Utility, under the Advanced Tab,
Wireless Control: [ ]
Wireless: [ On ]
were both grey. i wasnt able to go down to it or highlight it, as opposed to
USB Emulation: [Enabled]
under the same tab, which was black, and i was able to go down to it and highlight it.
so, my followup question was, does that mean the minipci card slot was not enabled in the BIOS or was i looking at the wrong thing?

Did you unlock setup? Sounds like there is a password to modify the BIOS and it hadn't been unlocked. The settings seem OK, what is the "wireless problem" that you're having? And what model laptop do you use?
