Hi,
I've installed Windows 8 on my XPS 1645 laptop. Everything works fine except wireless adapter. In fact, Windows automatically found wireless adapter driver but when I connect internet using a wireless network, my connection speed is very slow (although I have a very strong signal). But when I use LAN insted of wireless (on the same network), the connection speed is pretty good.
I think that's a driver related issue. Are there any sugesstions about this?

May I know which wireless adapter/card is installed on your system?
Have you tested wireless connection in Safe mode with Networking(F8 on start up)?

I just find a solution to my problem The following driver worked for my Inspiron N5010 Network Adapter:
www.dell.com/.../DriverDetails
Direct Link: downloads.dell.com/.../DW1501_W8_X00_A00_Setup-NF03J_ZPE.exe
It is a new driver for Windows 8 64bit it is not official listed by Dell to support Inspiron N5010 but I used it it worked for me so I just wanted to let you guys know incase anyone wanted to use it till Dell official release drivers for N5010.
I am having exact problem on Dell Inspiron N5010 with Windows 8 Pro 64bit installed my Wireless connection is very slow same as mentioned here above my Adapter details are below:
Windows 8 Shows as: Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter
In Windows 7 I used this which worked good: Wireless WLAN 1501 Half Mini-Card (4313bgn) (R258276.exe)
Hardware ID: PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4727&SUBSYS_00101028&REV_01
As of now Dell has not released Windows 8 drivers for Inspiron N5010 I hope someone from dell read this and provide a solution.

Thanks for the link. I'm using a Alienware 17X with a Broadcom 802.11N wireless adapter. My speeds went from 20 mb to 3 after win8. Now with the new driver it's around 40-50 mb where it should be. Thanks again!

Note:This is a 3rd party link and not a Dell link.
It could be an issue with the driver as the wireless card is using the generic driver from Windows 8.For this system model we don't have Windows 8 compatible drivers right now.If the issue persists in safemode you may need to wait for the Windows 8 compatible drivers for your system.
