16 Colors

I just refomatted win 98 and only have 16 colors on my monitor.

I have a dell m770 on standard pci graphics adapter (vga)

How do i recover my original settings ???

Thanks for using the Dell Community Forum.

Actually this really concerns your video card and the drivers for the video card. You can go to http://support.dell.com and download the drivers for that card. Once those are installed you will be able to change the settings.

the driver is loaded ,i downloaded the driver and it was the same ,as installed .

I still have only 16 colors on display option .

What system do you have? If there is a chipset driver for your system you will first need to install the chipset driver before installing any other drivers in the system. That is why your video card driver may not have installed.If it did you would be able to change the colors and resolution in your system.
