2407WFP component

All,

I have the old Xbox connected to the components using the Xbox Component Video Cable - 720p / 1080 cable . In Tiger Woods 2006 with the Xbox set to widescreen -
480P off, 720P off, 1080i on
480P off, 720P on, 1080i off
480P on, 720P off, 1080i off

I could not see a difference between these. Does this mean the game is locked at 480P?

Strange... I couldn't edit my post.

Set the 2407 to 1:1 (no scaling) and see if the image changes when you change resolution in the Xbox :)

    It shouldn't be locked:

Look in your "OSD" on screen display information it will list the res you are displaying thru component.
The A02 I had would list 480I and 480P dvd sources as a 480I input signal.
The A03's I have now lists the 480I and 480P dvd sources as a 480P input signal.

Let us know what you see in the OSD at the various res's you listed above.

If it's for the original xbox then it's limited to 480p

As the original xbox doesn't upscale you would have only been getting 480i if using either of these settings: "480P off, 720P off, 1080i on" or "480P off, 720P on, 1080i off" you would have been getting 480i". With "480P on, 720P off, 1080i off" you would have been getting 480p.

Original xbox games which support 1080i http://www.hdtvpub.com/productdb/games/index.cfm?search=&Platform=Xbox&r720p=yes&r1080i=yes

Still like to know what the OSD states, since the A02's I had were not correct per the source. :)
