2408WFP Power Save Problem

I have been using 2408FP for two years and decided to have another Dell's 24 LCD. Last week, I received 2408WFP REV A02. However, it shows the well-known power save problem, continuously falling into power save mode. I'm really frustrated with this problem: Almost every 2~3 hours, I'm suffering from this problem. I need to reconnect dvi cable, or power it off and wait a couple of minute, and so on.

I'm pretty sure that It is NOT a vga driver problem. Even if I'm in BIOS screen (Windows vga driver is nothing to do with it at this moment), I observed the problem.

I'm using nVidia 8800GT, and tested with 9800GT. Still 2408WFP shows the problem.

I'm really wondering whether this problem is solved, or still in progress. I'll request a replacement, but very afraid that even a replaced 2408WFP would show the same problem. Please let me know the current status about this issue. Changing VGA or DVI connector should not be an answer; the monitor must work at my system configurations as my 2407 has been doing.

BTW, I was also very frustrated to initiate technical support for 2408WFP in Dell's support homepage because all webpages require "service tag", which apparently does not exist in 2408WFP. In this case, how can I officially contact Dell? Anyway, I was able to contact a representative through "Unresolved technical support issue" https://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/dellcare/outstanding_issues_tech?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs I was happy that I was able to get a respond in a day. But, simply don't understand that every pages required service tag.

Thank you, but I'm not using ATI. As I said, the problem was observed even in BIOS mode.

The representative first gives a routine procedure for troubleshooting (disconnect.. and re-connect .. and so on).

Then, I was asked to say phone number to be contacted, probably to set up the replacement? Nothing special for the technical issue.

Have you followed the suggestions in this thread:

Thanks to that thread, I managed to fix my 2408WFP's power save issue.

Anyway, I decided to return this item. I'll contact a representative, otherwise I'll contact call center. I can't stand it this problem. Today, it is almost continuously showing the problem every minutes, even in BIOS and safe mode. I think Dell should take this problem very seriously. In my opinion, it should be recalled.
