Well i am trying to find a really good Monitor. I did some research and reduced my choices to eaither Dell, LG and Samsung monitor. Well out of the Three Dell Monitor looks more tempting to buy. However i noticed that the Dell's 24 inch monitor (2407 WFP) doesnt have HMDI .

 

My questions are,

 

What exactly HMDI does. I know its related to high-definition, but is it only to plug in to TV?. Or if we plug the monitor to desktop via HMDI would i get higher quality ( or maybe  higher resolution).

 

Also,

 

Does HMDI makes that much diffrence?. I mainly use my monitor to eaither play gamed or watch/listen to video/audio entertainments.
