Dell 2407WFP Ghosting

Hello,

I have get an Dell 2407WFP monitor and it has some problems with ghosting on white and other light backgrounds. Here is a picture: http://i44.tinypic.com/2rrs2rk.jpg. With low backlight  the color of the shadow is a light red. By increasing the backlight it changes to a light blue.

The revision of the Monitor is A04. What can I do?

Joe

Have you replicated the issue on multiple PCs? If yes, your only option is to get it replaced while under warranty.

Yes I have tested 2 pc's. The problem only appears by using dvi. With vga there is no problem.

Try testing another DVI cable. Is it under warranty?

With another DVI cable there is the same issue. There is no warranty anymore. What causes this problem?

The refresh rate is at 65Hz. The brightness is very low, but when I increase it the shadow only changes it colour from red to blue. The monitor has no contrast option. So is it an electrical defect?I have read that other people have the same issue. So is it an series production errors?

No, there were 1000s that do not have the issue.
