So my screen was being weird the other day, the green light was on and the screen was flashing between its black when off and the black it displays when on (hope you can understand it). Now when I try to use it it refuses to turn on, there is no picture and the light on the power button does not light up. I have tried it with a plug that has an identical value fuse in it with the monitor and it did nothing. 

Now i know its not under warranty since i have had it from oct 2006 if I remember correctly, but I was wondering if it is possible if I could get told what is wrong with it and if I can get replacement parts either from dell or somewhere else and fix it my self. I just dont want to get rid of a decent monitor if its just somthing like a transformer has stopped working.
