Experiencing pinkish hue on the right side of the screen, along with visible lines. Both the lines and pinkish color are localized the right side only.
Here's what I've tried:
1. Unplugged both ends of the DVI cable (and then plugged them back in too!) 2. Disconnected monitor power and reconnected 3. Rebooted computer 4. Checked monitor driver on computer- computer states it is up to date 5. Ran built-in diagnostics per manual (ftp://ftp.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_electronics/esuprt_Display/dell-s2340m_User%27s%20Guide_en-us.pdf) including disconnecting cabling. The pinkish color and lines are most prominent on the first (gray) screen. 6. Attempted to appease the monitor gods by encouraging my preschooler to do a silly dance (this did not work either)
Pertinent hardware/software:
NVIDIA GeForce 7100 video card Compaq Presario SR5450F Windows 7 SP1 using a DVI cable
Any other suggestions? I gave my wife the monitor for Christmas this year. I'd prefer the present worked as intended :)

Hi mzabrisk,
Regret the inconvenience caused. Based on the description, issue is hardware related and the monitor has to be replaced.
May I know where did you purchase the monitor?
