You both can get it to work with the Dell Webcam Manager software? What resolution? What resolution are you trying for with the other applications?

It does indeed work with the Dell Webcam Manager.

The resolution that I use for Windows Live Messenger is irrelevant, as there is'nt anything visible when I try to use the Webcam Settings in Windows Live Messenger. I even tried the Audio and Video settings wizard without any result.

What I did then: uninstalled "Monitor Integrated Webcam Driver (1.00.13.0608)", after a reboot Vista installs a native Vista driver voor the Webcam: then Windows Live Messenger works fine. But: the the Dell applications voor the Webcam do not work anymore. Reinstalling that driver again: Dell Webcam Manager works, Windows Live Messenger (the use of the Webcam) doesn't.

Hi, I had a problem with my webcam manager. I recently purchased a dell SP2208WFP monitor, I have windows vista as my OS. After I connect the monitor vista installed the drivers for the monitor, and than I proseed to install the webcam drivers and applications. The problem is that when i open my webcam manager and i try to use either the webcam center or any other option, I receive a error message that either the Live Cam.exe is not working or is the Advance audio or video FX that is not working. I call dell support and I dealed with them for three days trying to result this issue, and nothing that we try works, form unistalling and re-installing the drivers and applications, I even re-installed vista, and at the en nothing works. Please if somebody can help with this issue.

well my problem is a noise (hum) then a very high screech that grows so loud that I'm afraid that my speakers will blow up. and when i mute it then unmute it it works for only a few sec. and starts up again.  I even unhooked the speakers and installed a headset and the same thing there too.

 

I just stopped using my cam altogether, both screens is the same. i have two.

sad that i bought two and i can't use eather cam.

I started buying from dell and for the most part I fell in love with dell.  But I have a problem with the shipping part of buying from dell.

you see I live on the outskurts of Muskogee, OK. and ups drivers here are real dummies. They can't find my farm or they just don't have the time to stop here to my office, I found out they can't even read a note left on the gate for them.I have paid for the over night many times only to get my stuff a week or more later. and other times I would sit by my mail box in my truck by the road to watch them speed by without even slowing down, there is a ups hub in muskogee and they always swing by my farm late at night but there in a hurry to get back to there office that they don't care about custormer service I also e-mail them and left notes and letters but I don't matter to them so thats why I won't use UPS ever again.and becouse of UPS I stoped buying from dell  I was wondering what it will take for dell to use orther service then UPS I have sent a message to dell asking them that but i got an e-mail telling me that it's dell way. ?????? I sure hope dell wise up soon, before i have to start buying again, one of my system needs to be replaced and I was hopeing to get the big xps 720 but i will have to buy something else before i will use the UPS service. how do i get dell to hear my words? i really need to buy stuff , and soon.
