I am having a problem with the monitor constently powering down into hibernation without any warning. The system continues to stay on, but the monitor will not come back up. I've tried rebooting the system, and sometimes it worked for another period of time, but now it constantly powers down. Any ideas or thoughts?? Is a system problem?? I have tried connecting other monitors, but the same thing is happening. HELP!!!
Multiple monitors with the same issue, sounds like a setting in the operating system.
* Right click anywhere on the desktop
* Click Properties
* Click the Screen Saver tab
* Choose one and set it for one minute (or whatever you want)
* Click Apply
* Click the Power button to the right of the globe
* You should be on the Power Schemes tab
* Under the heading Power Schemes choose Home/Office Desk
* Under Settings for Home/Office Desk
- set the monitor to Never
- set the hard disks to Never
* Click Apply
* Click the Advanced tab (if listed)
remove any checks
* Click Apply if you made any changes
* Click the Hibernate tab
remove any checks
* Click Apply if you made any changes
* Click OK
* Click OK
* Click Start- Turn Off Computer- Restart
there is a tab in the "power" settings called "UPS" (I believe it stands for Uninteruptable Power Supply). In that tab there is a yellow yield sign with an "!" mark, stating the the UPS has been stopped, and to contact the American Power Supply, or something along those lines. I can't double check it, because I can no longer stay logged on long enough to be sure, before the monitor powers down. Does that help?
Mine is also set just like this and my 2407WFP does not power down. In the Hibernation tab, I do not have "Enable Hibernation" checked. In the Power Schemes tab, all are set to Never.
