S2340L and Pulse Width Modulation

Hello,

I'm considering purchasing an S2340L monitor, but I'm pretty sensitive to LED flickering so I wanted to confirm that this model does not use Pulse Width Modulation to control brightness. I've read reviews of the S2740L (which uses an AH-IPS panel) here and here and the S2440L (which uses an AM-VA panel) here and here that raise alarms that certain production runs of these models have shipped with PWM although the review samples had DC dimming.  I can't seem to find any in-depth reviews of the 23" model, however.

Could a Dell representative please confirm whether this unit can be safely purchased as a flicker free monitor?

Thanks in advance

They do not use PWM, but this seems to be a very subjective issue. My advice, go to a local shop and actually use the S2340L to see how it acts to your vision.
