S2817Q, HP integrated GPU, random blackout and flickering
I just got a new S2817Q 4K monitor for my HP Pavilion 590-p0076 desktop (AMD Ryzen 2400G with build in graphics). At random times, the screen will flicker and sometimes it will completely blackout and come back in 1 or 2 seconds. The S2817Q resolution is set to 4K with 60Hz and connected via the HDMI cable that came with the monitor. HDMI 2.0 is set to Enabled and Response Time is set to Normal in the monitor menu options. If I set it to 4K with 30Hz, I don't think there is flickering but it makes the mouse movement laggy.

Very doubtful that this is a S2817Q hardware fault. 30Hz will always be laggy. Most likely the fault of the integrated GPU or its driver. Has HP support verified that this integrated GPU is validated for HDMI 2.0 3840x2160 60Hz?
You should start by installing the latest HP =
AMD Chipset Driver (Windows 10 v1803) 5.12.0.38 Rev.A
-and-
AMD Graphics Driver for VR (Windows 10 v1709 / v1803) 23.20.806.1280 Rev.A
* Install the first one, when done, restart the HP desktop
* Install the second one, when done, restart the HP desktop
* Then retest. If still have issues, consider posting on the HP desktop Forum and see if other 590-p0076 owners have seen the issue
