Do you mean that you see a padlock on the screen? If not. explain in detail, "some how become locked".

If it happens again, press the Exit button for 15 seconds.

Yes, I mean the padlock symbol. And it seems as well you've brought me luck! The buttons are now unlocked. I'd tied many suggestions in the past, including holding the button in for up to a minute without success. Now weeks later, this tactic delivered functionality!
