hi, i just received a u2711 and it has just been giving me a black screen. i power it on with only the power cable and it boots up but nothing ever comes up on screen and none of the OSD buttons seem to do anything.

if i connect my macbook or my dell laptop via hdmi both seem to detect it but no image comes up?! no OSD, nothing.

at this point i'm ready to send it back. ive tried holding down the power button for 15 seconds as well as the other button above it but no luck in getting anything out of it.

i've also power it down a dozen times and disconnected the cables and reconnecting them etc... nada...

any help would be apreciated.
