Hi,I recently received the Dell U2713H monitor as a replacement for my 2711(warranty).The U2713H is,for the most part,an excellent monitor. However,I have noticed that when I play a video(be it from "you tube"or one of my personal videos),a pale blue box appears(it is nearly always the same size as the video.).It varies in size depending on the video,EXCEPT,when a video is played with Windows media player. It then covers the entire screen!
A couple of times the blue box has stayed even when the video is finished. The only way to get rid of it is to turn the monitor on and off.I am running windows 8.
Has anyone else experienced this?If so,is there a fix?
I'm experiencing the same problem and actually its not just the blue box over videos its also the monitor changes its preset when I switch to certain applications. I believe what is happening is that the monitor is detecting that video is playing over that certain area of the screen and its selecting either the 'multimedia' or 'movie' color preset for just that space. You can also experience the same issue with a color tint/shift when you use applications like Windows media player or netlfix. However, I don't know how to stop it from switching presets. It seems to be something with windows 8 and the monitor driver but I haven't found a solution yet.
Glad to know someone else is seeing the same problem...

I have had the problem and fixed it by using the menu on the monitor.
Menu > Display Settings > Smart Video Enhance > Off
Hope it works for you.
