The UP3216Q does use LED edge light system PWM. You need to research the specifications for monitors. If you see in the sales technical specifications or the User's Guide, LED edge light system, LED light bar system, or edgelight system, it does use PWM dimming. I am sorry to tell you this. Your answer does not make sense to me.The specifications of both the UP3216Q and the UP2716D say LED light bar system.

However this review of the UP2716D confirms that it uses DC for dimming. Not PWM!

So the fact that a monitor uses edge LED light system or LED light bar system does not imply it uses PWM for dimming. Am I right? Either that or there is something wrong with DELL's specifications.

That is what I was told, but maybe they were incorrect. I cannot find any definitive review about the UP3216Q and PWM.

In fact it is confirmed that the UP3214Q uses PWM. Maybe they got confused as both models have similar designations.

Usually it is easy to identify flicker through cameras. However I don't see any flicker on this youtube video:

or any other UP3216Q video on youtube. So either it does not use PWM or the frequency is very high and the camera misses it.
