Why? Don't understand.

I am glad I went for the 20" 2001FP monitor and not the 19". I found out that all 19" have a aspect ratio of 5:4 and not the standard 4:3. So when you watch DVD's or play games everything will look wrong and sqatched. I don't understand why they make 15" withb 4:3 but 17" 19" they make with 5:4 but 20" or 4:3. Don't they know that the standard is 4:3.

1280x1024 (5:4) is good if you want to rotate the monitor since the width would then be 1024. But other than that, I agree that 5:4 is more of a hassal.

And apparantly, some people don't even realize it: http://news.designtechnica.com/print_featured_article6.html
    lists 1280x1025 as 4:3 rather than 5:4
