Library license

I have the following question regarding license.
I have a IBM 3584 Library with 129 slots enable,in legato I have license for a Autochanger with 128 slots.
Dose anyone has any idea regarding how should I proceed, because I consider that is absurd to buy license for 256 slots to use 129.
I think this license procedure should consider also the hardware vendor because the next license level from hardware vendor is 287.Again the same situation, I should buy license for Autochanger with 512 to use 287.
For me is strange, I think it must be a way to solve that.
Dose anyone has encounter similar problem ?

I don't think there is another solution unless they give bigger enabler for the prise of smaller one. I guess one day we could see licensing mechanism which will unloack number of slots, but until that day we will have what we have. Or pehaps they will change licensing policy not to reflect number of slots anymore but volume capacity in library (I believe VRTS used to do that).
